Senior Year Classmates
* Updated 7/13 to indicate those attending the reunion!
What follows are initial fragmented rememberances of every single FCHS Senior Year classmate listed in the 1983 edition of The Reflector. If I can't think of anything special to say at first blush, I will simply type something like "a nice person" and then revisit at some point in the future once my memory catches up with the task at hand. Now to explain the Jasper references. During the summer of 1977, my parents sold our house on North First Street (next to the cemetary across from the grade school -- the Bergs eventually lived in that house), so then we moved to a rental house in the Jasper township. I attended grade school there for only three months, but it evidently made quite an impression on me. The teachers were great (esp. Mr. Smysor), I made lots of good friends, and even had a nice girlfriend who kept writing to me after we moved away to Marion, Kentucky. My teacher and classmates threw a big going away party and made me feel really special.
Doing this list made me remember than I was once good friends with Andy Jenkins, Joey Gruner (in band and cub scouts, right?), and Mike Waters.... Andy and Mike even had me over for sleepovers, which I hadn't thought about in years. We weren't around each other during high school, but I can still remember those fun middle school years to some extent.
It will be cool to see how many of these people show up for our reunion later this month...

Are you in touch at all with Mark Reyling? I haven't seen him in years. His mom used to keep me informed on how he was doing, but I haven't seen her for quite awhile, either.
I wish my cousin Greg was going to be here for the reunion, but I haven't heard anything about him being here. He's still a big goof.
