Our Walt Disney World Vacation
Booked last March to celebrate the sale of our moldy country house, this return to the Happiest Place on Earth during Drew's fall break turned out to be a great way to reunite the family following a long summer apart.

Anticipation...

The two-hour flight from Louisville to Orlando was a piece of cake. Disney's free Magical Express service transported us directly to the resort, although it took 10 hours for our checked luggage to join us.

Pop Century is Disney's newest Value Resort... You can get even more value by booking during a non-peak period and using the 15% AAA discount!

We always seem to go to Epcot on our first day...

The Living Seas got a Finding Nemo overhaul.

MineMineMineMineMineMineMineMineMineMine!

We generated this computer postcard at the Imagination Institute.... but since we never remember people's e-mail addresses, we sent it to ourselves!

Cooling down following the cool Test Track ride

The boys built free robots at Innoventions

The next day at Animal Kingdom, our first major ride was Dinosaur. Drew was the only one smart enough to not ride... it is quite scary! Poor Ben...

Animal Kingdom's new Expedition Everest is now the most thrilling attraction in all of Walt Disney World... Ben was too short for it, and Drew was too scared. By the way, the boys are soaking wet here because we all had just experienced the Kali River Rapids, which Drew loved.

Whilst Jerry stepped away to secure Fast Passes (free reservations that allow you to avoid lines later in the day) for the Safari, the boys get their faces painted as tigers! A walking, talking trash can later expressed its approval.

Magic Kingdom's Liberty Square.... in 2007 and in 1977!

Ben nags the Tikis in October, 2007....

... the same ones who spit at him in April, 2006!

Those same tikis taunted Dana, Lisa, and Jerry in 1977!

At Disney-MGM Studios: Honey, I Shrunk the Kids!

We met Mickey during our second day at Epcot! Too bad Ben was too shy to get anywhere near him...

Goofy is Jerry's favorite traditional Disney character.

We saw Donald Duck at the same spot Ben encountered him last December (see previous post), but this time he had a green friend. Later in the day, the red bird joined them, and thus the Three Cabelleros were complete.

Tigger, Eeyore, and Pooh are usually found at the Epcot World Showcase United Kingdom pavilion.

Hanging out in France... we always get dessert here.

Transported to Moracco

I've seen this before

Folks, I kid you not about Expedition Everest. A 44-year-old man died after riding it this week!
