Happy birthday to me! The main celebration took place this past Saturday, when my stepson was here to attend. That netted me my first pair of sandals ever, which I wore to the movies later that night. They're quite comfortable.

Today started with me sleeping in too late (shouldn't have stayed up working on this stupid blog), a big fight over finances, and then sneaking into work late. I've got to stop doing this.

Had a good family lunch at Ramsi's Cafe on the World, which at one point was my favorite Louisville restaurant. Otherwise, very low key. E-mail greetings from three long-distant female friends from long ago, an attempt by my younger sister to call, snide remarks by two co-workers.... That's it. Maybe the most uneventful birthday ever. Oh, earlier I received cards from my mother-in-law and my grandparents-in-law, which was very nice.

UPDATE: The next day, received a nice card from my dad and Phyllis, as well as two different Superman cards from two different sets of dear old friends...!
