Any Father's Day spent with my boy is a good Father's Day. While Mom worked, we went to my most frequented cinema, Baxter Filmworks, to see Kung Fu Panda, which we both enjoyed. Then we spent the rest of the day watching the new DVD set he gave me for Father's Day: the complete set of the 2006 Fantastic Four animated series. This is a halfway fun show, and I like the episodes featuring Marvel-ous guests (such as the Thing vs. Hulk episode). Which reminds me...
Two days earlier at Stonybrook, I saw The Incredible Hulk. Okay, it wasn't as boring as Hulk (2003), but that doesn't mean it was necessarily better. I found it very cheesy with a B-movie feel, featuring a plethora of has-been actors hamming it up (especially Tim Blake Nelson, who shows up for the third act), my pet peeve "555" fake movie phone numbers, and Iron Man's Tony Stark showing up for what would have been a nice surprise ending... if not for the fact that a longer version of this short scene appeared in the last round of TV commercials for the movie, so what was the point?
