The most corrupt government in the history of the United States? Here is a handy dandy scorecard of the several dozen current Republican scandals, ranging from freaky freaky activities to general everyday greed and corruption. The only Democrat one that comes to mind is the one wherein the dude had a large stash of cash stored away in a freezer on Capitol Hill. You know, the one where several bigshot Republicans mysteriously jumped to his defense! Crazy times. We have a chance to return to sanity this coming Tuesday (unless those newly installed suspicious electronic voting machines have something else to say about it). Even if the lesser evil of the two major parties triumphs as it should, it may take many years and much pain to un-do the damage Republicans have done to our great country.

UPDATE: Believe it or not, the good guys (at least, the less corrupt of the two major parties) won. Since the exit polls and the official vote tallies actually matched, the vote counting machines aren't under suspicion this time. As opposed to 2004 networks had to backtrack on some of their projections because things mysteriously did not add up...
