A beloved family member sent me an e-mail chain letter supposedly written by a housewife in Atlanta, but obviously crafted by the whacko spin machine. Fed up, here was my response to everyone else who was copied on it:

"Well-informed people know that Iraq has nothing to do with 9/11. Bin Laden was allowed to escape so this madness in an unrelated country can continue. We're not honoring the memory of the 9/11 victims by sacrificing our soldiers so rich businessmen and politicians can get richer. War profiteering is treason. Don't let them divert your attention with the same tired hot-button issues they bring out every election season, then don't do anything about afterward. How many years will we allow them to fool us? Let's give control of our once-admired country back to people who aren't so obviously incompetent and greedy."
